Terms and Conditions


A £50 non refundable deposit is required to secure your date upon booking, the remaining balance is due 8 weeks prior to your event date.

Methods of payments

Cheque, bank transfer, cash or PayPal.


We are happy to supply and collect the sweet cart, chocolate fountain, candy floss and popcorn directly to your chosen venue within a 25 mile radius of GU51 – Fleet Hampshire, venues outside of this will be charged at 50p per mile. Wishing wells will be delivered up to 10 miles or collected and returned to us.


A £30 fee will be added to your final payment to cover any damage or loss to the sweet cart vases. ferrero Rocher pyramid and post box
this will be refunded within 1 week after your event.

Important Notice

Please note some sweets may contain nuts or traces of nuts or nut oil, we do not take any responsibility for any food allergys from eating these sweets – if you want a specific diet catered for this must be placed in writing via email.

Within our packages we provide paper bags and some sweets may have wrappers, please supervise children at all times as these can cause choking – sweets For Weddings cannot be held responsible for any incidents occurring from the consumption of our confectionary or from any items on the sweet cart.

Please can we ask your guests not to use our sweet cart to place their drinks on or for any other use except it’s main purpose.

Tongs and scoops are provided for all sweet jars to ensure good hygiene, sweets for weddings will not take responsibility for any illnesses from eating our sweets.

It is the sole responsibility of the Customer to advise their event Venue that:-
1. they have hired a Chocolate Fountain , Sweet Cart, popcorn or Candyfloss machine for the event – Public Liability Insurance and PAT testing certificates are available on request for venues if needed.

2. we will require clear access to a 13amp electrical socket.

3. the Machine Operator for chocolate fountains, candyfloss or popcorn will require access to the Function area 1 hour before the Item is required for use, in order to setup the base and ensure smooth running of the Fountain. Once setup these items including the sweet cart they cannot be moved.

Sweets for weddings do not accept liability should the Venue fail to provide the items stated above, thereby preventing the use of the Chocolate Fountain, popcorn or candyfloss hire and no refund will be made by sweets for weddings.

For chocolate fountains sweets for weddings will endeavour to provide any favourite dips specified on the booking form but reserve the right to substitute any item should they be unavailable or of unsatisfactory quality.

Sweets for weddings do not accept responsibility for any complaint or damages by the Venue or Guests due to chocolate or candyfloss contacting with clothing or other materials.

Sweets for weddings reserve the right for the Fountain Operator to dismantle the Chocolate Fountain, popcorn or candyfloss stalls and leave the premises should the Guests become unruly and considered by the Operator to be a risk, either to themselves or the hire item – No refund will be forthcoming.

Should there be a failure within the chocolate fountain equipment that leads to the fountain being unable to run as a fountain it can be used as a large chocolate fondue. Should this occur a £50 refund will be due to the customer.

Liability – Sweets for weddings shall not be liable for any injury, loss or damage directly or consequently arising out of the use or inability to use the Chocolate Fountain, popcorn or candyfloss whether used singularly or in conjunction with any other.


Unfortunately should you need to cancel any of our items the following will apply.

Within 8 weeks to the event date 50% of the remaining balance will be due, this amount must be received before 4 weeks prior to your wedding/event date otherwise Sweets For Weddings reserves the right to impose the 100% balance due.

Within 4 weeks to the event date 100% of the remaining balance, this must be paid within 7 days of cancellation.

Should you decide for any reason to move your wedding to a new date, even if the decision is out of your control, this cancellation policy will apply to the original booking date. Bookings may transfer once to a new date, after this additional admin charges may apply and any promotional discount offers from the original booking may not be applicable. Should your alternative date not be available for the item requested, alternative options will be provided on a case by case basis.

Cancellation must be given in writing via email.

Should you have not paid the full amount owed by 7 days of your wedding Sweets for Weddings reserves the right to cancel your hire item and no refund will apply.

Please note Sweets for Weddings runs any hire item from the time booked for the designated time hired, in the event of your wedding or event over running, leading to the hire item starting up later than expected we will still end at the originally booked time.

***Update – any weddings affected in 2020 due to Covid 19 may transfer as many times as needed as long as the wedding/event takes place before December 2022***
